I wondered lonely as the cloud

Sat 21st March 2009 was the first day of spring. This is my first time experiencing spring in this country. This is also my first time seeing daffodils in my life. Suddenly I remembered the famous poem by William Wordsworth called I wondered lonely as the cloud

I wandered lonely as a cloud
That floats on high o'er vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host of golden daffodils;
Beside the lake, beneath the trees,
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.

Continuous as the stars that shine
and twinkle on the Milky Way,
They stretched in never-ending line
along the margin of a bay:
Ten thousand saw I at a glance,
tossing their heads in sprightly dance.

The waves beside them danced; but they
Out-did the sparkling waves in glee:
A poet could not but be gay,
in such a jocund company:
I gazed - and gazed - but little thought
what wealth the show to me had brought:

For oft, when on my couch I lie
In vacant or in pensive mood,
They flash upon that inward eye
Which is the bliss of solitude;
And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the daffodils.

Opera scenes in my college

I was involved in the college opera scenes which were held at the Bute theatre from 12th March until 14th March. That was my debut performance in opera scenes in the UK. It was so exciting. I felt great to have the opportunity to take part in this production.  I have learnt a lot of new things in this production. For instance, tolerance, team work, perseverance and time management. I am confident this is going to be a stepping stone towards my future career in music.

As regard to photographs, I managed to persuade my boyfriend to secretly take photographs of me during the performance. Unfortunately, he sat next to a intolerant elderly gentleman who spotted his camera and ordered him to stop taking photographs during the performance.  Nevertheless, he managed to capture a few photographs after disabling the flash.
